An off-grid timber building requiring a Domestic Fire Sprinkler System Installation in Devon to satisfy Building Control requirements.
The Challenge
Our new clients, Huti–Space, reached out to us during the development of an off-grid timber building in a remote part of South Devon. Unfortunately, they couldn’t satisfy the turning space requirements for a fire appliance due to the property’s location & available space.
The Solution
We specified and designed a Domestic Fire Sprinkler System Installation in accordance with BS 9251:2021 to category 1 requirements, supported by a dedicated sprinkler pump drawing water from a shared cold water tank for this property in Devon.
After several visits to the site, we discussed the best way forward with the property owner and our client, explaining our processes, the water supply assessment, and addressing any concerns about aesthetics. We demonstrated the final product finish against the beautiful oak frame, putting everyone’s minds at ease. It was a thorough survey and installation project, working carefully around the insulation that was already in place.
The Results
