About Our Managing Director, Alan Beattie
With a background in insurance, our MD, Alan Beattie, brings over 20 years of design and consultancy experience within the fire sprinkler industry across multiple sectors. This means we understand both the technical requirements and the cost considerations behind insurance-driven installations.
After completing his degree in Business, he began working in the storeroom for a multinational sprinkler contractor, organising and delivering materials to sites while collaborating with Project Management. As he wanted to fully understand the detailed design process, he left Northern Ireland to undertake intensive training at their Head Office in Manchester.
Over the years, Alan worked for several reputable sprinkler companies in Design or Technical Manager roles, before moving to a large insurer in London. After 7½ years of consulting on sprinkler specifications and system evaluations, he started a young family and wanted to establish his own fire sprinkler company, which led to Orbital Fire Safety Ltd being founded.
